He wrote my favorite book about fishing and led an amazing life. I regret not introducing myself to him many years ago while he was eating dinner at Finn's.
Met Roy a handful of times over the years while on my way to or from Block surf spots. Very pleasant to talk with. Another surfcaster whose spirit will now be in the BI breeze. RIP
