Vende around the world update
For the life of me I don't know why Rich would do this, again, when he has many under his belt already and is close to ten years my senior.... Good read from the comfort of my den. God bless and good luck to all competitors.

Life long dream to circumcise the globe... but I'd choose a more comfortable boat and a companion to go with.

I loved my two long distance sailing trips, saw things and experienced things I'd never give back; although I could have lived without the 48 hours of no sleep in waves the length of the boat I was on. Even though on two occasions on two different boats, the boat was in peril, I never felt scared for my life. The adrenaline rush and excitement was so intense, it's hard to describe.

A task such as that would require a ton of foreskin and planning.

My mom and dad circumnavigated the globe in a Hans Christian 41 left 1995 sailed back into Newport in 2005. Amazing 10 year voyage. They have been living on Prudence Island since 2005. 80 and 78 years old. They met in high school dad was a life guard at the town pool, mom thought he was cute. It started with a hello.

That's beautiful! Nice boat to do it in. Do they keep it in Newport near the spindle ? Probably not but there's a nice Hans Christian that lives on a mooring there.

They sold the boat when they got back in 2005. The gentleman that purchased it owns a restaurant in Maryland. He spends his summers at Block Island where he is a bartender at Paynes Dock. The boat named Kemosabe is berthed at Paynes for the summer each year. The Horseshoe life ring is mounted inside the first floor area to the left of the door when you walk in.

Just a little more history. Dad joined the Navy at 18. He was a navigator/bombardier on a PBY (Black Cat) sub chaser. Once while flying from Florida to Panama he was looking at the ocean and saw a few boats anchored at different Caribbean
islands. He made a vow that he would someday be one of those boats. That was 1954. 41 years later he was.
