Fishing opportunities around Parris Island May 17-20?

My girlfriends' son is graduating basic training in May, so we're driving down for a few days. I'm planning on bringing a 9 wt, a 7'6" spinner for 12# line and an 11' surf spinner.Has anyone here ever fished the area?
What should I take/leave?. I won't be able to do a charter, lack of time.
