We don't have a car. Yearly pass for the bus is about $350, food 24/7/365. That's less than a monthly T commuter rail ticket, I think. We live in Finland's third largest city, Tampere. The bus takes us everywhere we want to go, including the airport. To visit relatives in the hinterland, rental cars are cheap (but gas isn't).

So far, nothing but great experiences with the health care system. I just got a bill for my last doctor's visit---17 Euros.
