Back from a week at the Cape

I spent the weekend at Ocean Edge in Brewster for a wedding and I had not been down that far for years. It is a beautiful area that I had forgotten how much I enjoy.

I spent 30 years fishing the back beaches. Some weekends my partner and I drove 600 miles. 300 R/t on Friday night and then another 300 on Sat night. The place was awesome, the fishing was off the charts and the people we ran the beaches with were the best. I miss it so much but with the seals, Plovers and the general madness on the beaches, I stopped in 2003 and have never been back.
We crushed large ....sometimes. Other times we got skunked but it didn't matter. If we had the truck on the beach and were running from the Mission Bell to Laura's to High Head it was just the balls.
