time to move up
I seem to have outgrown my 23 parker and its time to start considering a bigger/badder rig. I know theres no perfect boat but lets hear some ideas. what I need is CC in the 26' range. an open boat up front - no seating. something I can power with twin 200 motors. canyon range. 27' is about as big as I want to trailer around. the short list is a 27 conch and I want to get a look at a seevee. what else should I be checking out?

I wish I could justify an Onslow Bay 27 offshore xs........ my dreamboat after some enjoyable days trips with Chris. Best riding hull I have ever experienced.......
I just keep looking for used listings, but they rarely come up. Maybe when Chris moves up........

Not an issue for me. My boat does less than ten miles annually on the trailer.

Niko if your looking for a lighter boat you can trailer, and has range, and will get you home in the slop, i think a contender fits your bill. I take out my buddys regularly and am more impressed everytime i fish on it. No frills, open, good platform, and flys. 25T is a baddass boat.

I see bigger 25ts and smaller ones. The smaller ones don't look much bigger than my Parker. Any idea what year they made the change?

Me personally I wouldn't bother moving up from 23-26 27, other than to get away from the legendary Parker Pounding !
If you are going to move up do it for the last time and for 30-35 ft.
If I were to own a 26-27 center console is would be a Cape Cod 26 with an onboard diesel and the shaft/prop tunnel.
My buddy Jesse owns the original built by Ronnie Lema.
Boat is a beast !

I want to do one more go around with a bigger cc. And yes I am done with the Parker pound - it's great for inshore but the long trips are unforgiving. diesel cc are great but not practical for what I do, trailering all over

The Dusky 278 is a rugged center console; the ultimate offshore fishing machine and the choice of serious fishermen everywhere. When the seas are up or the fishing grounds are far offshore she'll take her place alongside the big boys anytime and at a price you can afford. Dusky 278 is equipped with the Dusky Drive; a unique fiberglass outboard bracket with integrated swim/dive platform. The Dusky Drive improves maneuverability and stability to your boat while allowing a full transom for safety. All this on the legendary hand-laid, all-fiberglass Dusky modified step-v hull.
Available with either inboard or outboard powering options, including Suzuki and Evinrude. All inboard models are available with optional keel.
Fished by professional charter captains as well as amateur sport fishermen, Dusky 278 boasts a high following. You'll see her at tournaments everywhere.

Have a 26 Northcoast built this winter to your custom specifications. Great company to work with and you can observe each stage of production in person. Built like tanks and local in Bristol RI.

the prob i'm finding is that most boats in this size, 25/26' just don't have much more room than my parker. I keep on eyeballing this every time i'm in scituate
