Sorry to hear Ray. I think it has something to do with the weather. I broke my back 40 years ago and the last few cold damp days have been murder. Lots of Bayer!!

No boat, back in the suds.

At almost 65 I have the energy, but I'm also a golf nut and come this time of year, I'd rather put on a few extra layers and walk 18 holes for some exercise and fresh air. Might hold out for a few more fresh water trips, but I'll be waiting on a few warmer days to get the bite activated again.

You just need to change your perspective. Any time you can get out make some casts and complain about the fishing is not a bad thing.

Stop thinking about the production and think more about what you saw, what didn't you see, what were the conditions and what you did to adjust to them. I've known what I'd consider some really good fisherman over the decades, what most would consider the most productive surf fisherman, boat fisherman and some really good FW bass tournament fisherman. One thing they all had in common is a strong sense of curiosity, a desire to learn or try a new technique, and they couldn't wait to try the next plan to get a hit next time out. To them, the anticipation and enjoyment never leaves.
