It SHOULDN'T be close given the economy, and given how un-hinged the left has become. But it's very common for a new President's party to lose seats in the next midterm. Then, you can argue that none of the traditional rules apply to this guy.

So who the hell knows?

The GOP should gain seats in the senate, they got very lucky with which seats are up for re-election this time (many democrats are up in states that Trump won bog, they only won 6 years ago because they rode Obama's coattails).

Most people think the Democrats will make big gains in the house, but these are the same people who convinced me that Trump had no chance.

Who knows.

What I do know, is that the Democrats will do everything they can, to avoid talking about the economy. That issue is a big-time loser for them right now.
