Nice and clean. Simple fore transition. Looking good. I would like to feel the rod once its done and compare the same rod done ngc.

I’m looking forward to throwing when it’s done. Test casting, it seemed to be a solid 1-2.5/3oz rod. Thats what I was looking for. That covers the majority of stuff that i throw.

Done, but considering one more coat on the ramp to make it flush with the grip.

I'm hoping to get out and throw it tomorrow. I would have liked to keep the build weight under 10oz (if I knew it was this close). Comparing the epoxy on this rod vs others, I was a little heavy (granted, subtle difference). I also might have been able to tweak the grip a bit to shave a little weight.

I took advantage of the good weather and threw this rod for a bit. I only had stuff that was up to ~2.5oz or over 4oz. 4 is basically a no go on this rod, I wasn't expecting to throw 4 anyway. The rod handled everything up to 2.5 beautifully. Absolutely what I wanted out of this rod. Hopefully, it fishes as well as it throw. 2.5 covers most of the plugs I throw, cutty stuff, etc. I'm not sure if it will throw my rigged eels. I'm thinking it might be just short there.

I also upgraded to a Renzetti lathe. Set it up today, might mess around with it later tonight if I can get back to my office.

Sounds like it works for you. Most of the plugs most people throw is 3oz under. Sounds like a perfect blank.
