I remember..... Was when I was just cutting my teeth fishing...

Days of Manzi…. and Habs….. Of keeping eels in Fishing Club bath tub. Great insights from Steve VS. And Nolan stories. Some of the great times on this board IMHO..

Does anyone remember Patrick? He must be all grown up now. Or not...

Miss going in the QL and BS'ing with Steve. Picking his brain. One of the good guys. Im only 37 but seems like a long time ago. Miss those surf nights. I still fish a decent amount and will really hit it when the fish show up in my neck of the woods, but since havin a family I really enjoy the boating aspect as well. We spend weekends on the boat going to block island and MV, hanging at the marina. And guess what...… Sometimes I don't even bring a rod!!!

He is referring to the afterhours treadmill races at the hotel after a TFCTFN years ago.... Starfish, (missed here for some years) was a fan favorite, before Redlite and the Bombas got in the competition.... Not sure what FMS stands for though.

editors note; I was driving home when it all went down.

And here's the difference between then and now when it comes to the internet and fishing; Cheaters and chest beaters were quietly shamed out of the picture instead of being made into heroes or the focus of attack....

We just did it (fishing). And didn't judge so much in public.... It was for enjoyment of both the activity and the people....

You are so right Ross. In 94 and 95 we hammered 20 to 30# fish by the hundreds at the 2nd Rip, Mission Bell, High Head and Peaked Hill Bar. No one except the guys who were there knew anything about it.
I was fishing with Lanny Grazini, Tony C, George Calzone, #^&#^&#^&#^&y Conyouer (sp), Steve Mills, and occasionally Luchini. No one other than them knew anything. Guys would ask us "where are the fish?"
We'd send them to Long Nook or Coast Guard beach.

No boat, back in the suds.
