Scratch on my Lami rod, Salthart...

Salthart, I got this lami custom rod with a 704 bailless penn spinning reel. I made a long cast on the field. And then I yanked my hookless blues bom. I practiced twitching in the dark yesterday. ANd then I hit on a small and long branch and it made a scratch on the top. It doesn't look severe. It's about 2 or 3 cm wide, not too deep. Any remedy on that? I haven't mailed a check to Ben yet. I fell in love with this lami combo... And Ben suggested that I post this to you..

If its not too deep , just wax it with car wax. The scratch should disappear.

If its deep enough to have nicked the fibers , you better bring it to someone who knows what they are doing to attempt to repair it. Very difficult to fix if the fibers got damaged.

BTW , its Saltheart , not Salthart.

okay, thanks, saltheart. however, the funny thing is that when i checked it out last night, it recovers slowly. I couldn't find any big scratch on it. Just tinest bits...
