First bipartisan Senate vote to remove a president
I have heard the phrase "Country Over Party" many times over the years. This is one of the few times in my life that I have seen it in action by someone who has more to lose than gain politically.
Romney should get the Medal of Freedom.

White House was completely caught off guard by Romney's vote.
And within minutes of Romney's speech, the White House closed a Trump-Guaido meeting in the Oval Office that reporters had been invited to attend.
I heard Floridaman was screaming.........like a stuck pig

History will not be kind the the orange man, like the decline of the striped bass, hopefully it’s short lived, I’m confident the country can survive another fours years. Just such a joke we have a con man and TV game show host at the helm, better hope for a stable world, because he is one step away from crazy.

Rush deserved it. He has done a lot to fight against the constant descent of the Republican party into a shadow-like replica of the Democrat party as well as spawn the massive growth of conservative talk radio which is a forerunner of the large and influential alternative media on the web.
Those of us who tune in to that alternative are privy to a lot of information and opinion that those who depend on MSM as their source are not. That is why we were able to foresee the election of Trump that mainstreamers didn't think was remotely possible. And why we foresaw the Mueller opinion that you guys were so sure would show Trump to be in bed with the Russians, and a lot of other stuff.
If you depend solely on MSM, your head is in the sand.

I’ve listened to him a lot over the years. My dad would record Rush every day. Rush would say anything to make a buck.
I’d note my father has just switched parties.

Rush and those who followed him influenced many, probably millions, to switch to the Republican or Libertarian Party from the Democrat Party. And he was very consistent in his beliefs. He didn't switch them to please ruling parties or keep advertisers. He had a few boycotts against him and his advertisers which hurt financially, but stayed on message. He bucked the establishment Republicans without fear that it would cost him listeners, ergo the numbers to attract advertisers. He gave away many, many millions of his own dollars to charity as well as raising money from his listeners to give more millions to those charities.
He had fairly strict conservative social values that many mistook for (or intentionally and fraudulently described as) racism, white nationalism, homophobia, etc. But he treated his callers and guests politely and fairly no matter what persuasion they came from. He believed in his brand of Americanism and was willing to rationally debate his values.
And he was instrumental in creating the pathway to alternative media which could counter the centralized mainstream corporate media. Which, in effect, created a foundation for a freer, more diverse, Press.

This is about right.
Just as the Left and the Media FLAYED McCain alive in his presidential run, they celebrated his goodness in death.
Now they celebrate Romney as a bastion of integrity, blind and deaf to their scripts of how they said he was going to kill everyone with binders full of women charging on horses and bayonets with a Russian behind every bush.

It’s sad that Mitt Romney is called a hero just for doing what is right. The GOP has fallen so far that doing the right thing, now makes Senators heroes. This should be the norm, not a rarity.
