Dinner
Nothing looks better on my blue tile fish cleaning station than five black and blue sea bass. Not a lot of fish marked and a fellow yaker mentioned squid in the area last week, so switching to my 4" white split tail on a 3/8oz kalin ultimate jig proved deadly and allowed me to be off the water by 9am. I was fishing my new Shimano Mi43000 on my freshwater jigging rod and boy is that reel sweet and featherlight.

Best rod I ever built for comfort, love that all cork handle, it’s easier on my old hands.

Love to get out Ray, sea bass are tasty, but tog are so much more fun to catch. After June however, it’s just not worth it, as fun as they are a limit of one isn’t incentive to go.

OB was loaded with decent fish but you had to be right over the wreck so you can imagine what a zoo that
quickly became.

That explains the 75 kayak #^&#^&#^&#^& show I saw, I’m hoping the town doesn’t close access to non town residents after locals complaining they can’t find parking

Quick three hour trip to the sea bass grocery store around 10:30 to avoid the chaos of the morning launch, peddle out two hours later limit out and peddle in. Vacuum sealer is preparing for this winters pandemic. Going to stock up while the getting is good. Still have some tog left from last fall, it’s amazing how good it is when handled well and vacuum sealed.
