Well today started what might be a good weekend. Overcast drizzling cool mornings aren’t good for much, unless you have a strong incoming tide and sea bass are chowing on squid. Up at four, looked at the radar forecast, back to bed, up at 6:30 and decided it looked good. Quick coffee and thirty minute drive to my BB launch site. Weather keep the crowds away, easy parking which is hard to expect at this favorite kayak spot, an hour later I had my limit, home by 9:30. When the first sea bass had six inches of squid hanging out of its jaw, I knew my 4” white Ledge Runner split tail was going to clean up quickly. I have to say picking up a Stradic Ci4 3000 reel and putting it on my freshwater light jig rod has really made it fun.

Golf tomorrow and tackling crab grass and weeds Sunday.
