This is inexcusable. When will someone post a sign that says you need the proper equipment to fish Beavertail?

There are some places where 14 year olds shouldn't be fishing, even with adult supervision. Beavertail is one of them. |

Father and brother bore witness ... I can't imagine that feeling of helplessness. There's no consoling that..  ... sincere thoughts and prayers to the family. |

Many years ago a guy by the name of Gary Bradbury died there. Navy Seal, combat Vet, and a dive master. It is one of the more dangerous places to fish in RI along with Hazard Ave, Black Point, Bass Rock Rd, all that area.
We fished it for decades without a problem because we wore all the right stuff.

Haven't fished those areas much and not recently but have always been a little uneasy when fishing there with a little swell. |
