When I saw the tide and sea forecast yesterday am, I knew it would be a good tog bite in the skinny water on the incoming. I love fishing freshwater bass spinning tackle for tog with plastic. It was a fish on every cast for a while, my usual 3/8 oz. kalin ultimate jig head and my olive or smoke 4” split tail. It’s amazing how aggressive tog are when those conditions line up, good running tide, some good swell to generate lots of white water, they are opportunistic and will readily hit plastic. Not sure I’d take a tippy kayak as close as I got today, but my PA14 is like a big surfboard, just rides right up and over them.
Was met at the dirt ramp by an EP officer, he measured my one keeper tog and then insisted on seeing my license. I’m sweating bullets in the midday sun and trying to find the picture I always take of the license, pain in the ass. Go harass the poachers on the bridge, no you have to find the only guy nuts enough to peddle out to fish the slop on Hens and Chickens ledge really?

the poachers and litterers are too much trouble....because I have spin and fly gear, shore and paddle board stuff I print a bunch of copies of my license at the beginning of the season, put them in little zip lock bags and shove them in all of my gear, can't always remember where I put them but I figure my odds are good for finding one if I need to present one

I always have my phone and picture of the license off my computer every season I purchase it, it just a little much in light of what I see every year for the guy to bust me for one legal tog.
