Working around the farm getting ready for the July 3rd party. Most of the family is going elsewhere but about 2/3rds of the neighborhood are coming. Got 100 'necks ordered from...who else but The Clammer!

No boat, back in the suds.

It's the Midsummer holiday weekend here, starting today. We went out to our little cottage on the other side of town, did steaks on the grill with boiled potatoes. Tomorrow will be sausages and corn. Place isn't big enough for the whole fam, so wife and her kids are there, and I'm at our regular home.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

Got to visit with some family and friends down in Pawcatuck, great time. Made meatballs for the occasion and sampled a variety of whiskey's. Watched The Three Stooges until 1 in the morning with my brother in law - hysterical, but we had had a few. Visited Foxwoods for a couple hours on the way home. Big nap. Hockey game next up!
Practice, practice practice.

Finally finished the project from hell yesterday. Celebrated pretty good last night but I won't let that be the end of it (Fuente Across America to top off the night). Bottle a Belgian Witte and try to restart a stalled fermentation on the Trippel. Some of this and that around the house, but "decompressing" is likely the best way to describe this weekend. I think that means I should be on the water somewhere.

Just now feeling recovered enough to climb around the boat... Cover off. Ran new transducer. Filling holes and drilling new ones for mounting new GPS/FF. Messing around with piece of starboard that Linesider82 kindly sent to me for mounting transducer on. Sprayed clearcoat on engine cowling, a project I began in April, before the surgery....
Prepping for the heat. I am now of an age that I won't press to get things done in HHH prolonged conditions. So lower expectations for boat prep and starting back to work.... It will come. Be safe in the heat folks. I plan on more therapy for the knee in neighbor's pool...

Yeah, if you’re interested in catching anything, I would run over to Westport and try something. My friends and I got nearly a dozen each last year. Maybe by next year they’ll be keepers. Getting late now.

Big shindig Saturday, rain or shine. I have Sunday OFF so I am going to have my own little 4th party. Plan on doing multiple controlled and uncontrolled substances.

No boat, back in the suds.
