i wouldn’t be using from shore, although mine had this “master cast” feature, some
magnetic thing that prevents backlash. when i was on the boat, at one point i was really launching that sea bass rig way further than i ever could with a conventional. didn’t need to thumb the spool at all.

I don,t believe mine is overkill .. of course I don,t know the model number .......but its the smallest they make and its light .so you can fish all day ..but again you already home before I get out
