Trying to strip and re do and oak dinner table... lets just say its not going to plan.. 60 grit is next

No one is handy enough to convince me that a dip strip service isn't money well spent....

I have to strip a door that was probably built in the 1830’s and it’s loaded with lead paint. you think I should get that dipped? Or for just a door, should I just throw on a respirator and heat gun it?

How old a table
The old ones were shellacked, steel wool and denatured alcohol will strip that way better than paint remover
