S-B get together Legs? Any interest?
Just wondering if there might be interest in setting up at least one good Leg to get together. (We're not getting any younger.....)
I am also a geographic undesirable, as I live on Northshore of Boston, so I am not the point person to organize this one...

Block Leg? just kidding, well not really
July North Shore Leg sounds appetizing.
Or Newport.

I’m down if things line up for me. Wouldn’t mind a block trip, may go with my family sometime in July.

Actually know a place on the coast where people could catch STRIPED BASS; could fish some then have a cookout.

Nice! Location? Any dates to start throwing around before everyone gets booked in this summer of "Revenge Travel?"

Following this Thread. Outer Cape, or Cutty rendezvous.
1. Somewhere you can catch a fish if you want-- good water and accessible.
2. MV is NOT fish accessible: The distances are relatively vast.
3. Block is BARELY fish accessible: I have done the whole island by bicycle.
4. Cutty is fish accessible by foot.
5. Outer Cape is just plain on the mainland and therefore accessible by
definition.

Maybe the Canal? I know, I know, 3rd World Country and all of that but it is easy access and the fishing can be good and is relatively easy.

I think I'd rather get a root canal than attempt fishing the canal during peak season. I'd rather see a fall run get together, where maybe it's an albie and bass opportunity on beaches south. I don't know what the regulations are or cost for an outing at either horse neck beach in Westport or the park at gooseberry point, but there is lots of fishy water on both sides and ample parking. The point is free parking and I would think a cook out is doable.

Outer Cape is a night time game now if you want to catch fish from shore. I'll be out there 6-20-7/2. Not great tides those days. You will be fishing with the souls of past legends out there though.

Gooseberry gates close at sunset. Horseneck stops charging for entry after 5pm .

The fishing down here the past 3 years has been absolutely dismal. The fish don't live down here anymore
Better off aiming for south shore of mass/ Boston / north shore as the fish have definitely shifted their migration/ summering to more northern waters. I blame it on the black sea bass infestation of buzzards bay but what do I know, I'm not a marine scientist
With that being said if folks still wanna try for one down here I am willing to help put it together as I miss the legs
As stated earlier gooseberry gates locked at 8 every nite. They have been clamping down on parking the past 2 years
South shore beach in little Compton where I believe we held last leg years ago is now closed to out of towners
Another viable option is I can talk to the ownwer of Westport bait and tackle who actually is an old time inactive member here and see if feasible for us to host get together at shop like we used to host them at a local shop ( weekPaug, M&d's)
Let me know and I can get to work on it.

Westport area would be good; not far from either RI or MA fishermen.
Restaurant nearby has outdoor tables too.

Haven’t had much luck at NS in recent years; didn’t get a hit last year on live bait at the Straitsmouth rips.
