Well it's New England so anything can happen weather wise, I don't mind when it snows on the weekends but during the week it's a pain in the butt. I don't mind the warm winter makes working outside a lot easier

Sub-arctic climate zone. Ironically, the melting polar ice cap, and melting sea ice in the Barents Sea is supposedly going to produce more snowfall in coming years, with more moisture in the air. For its latitude, Finland doesn't get a lot of snow at present. Helsinki averages 30cm--about a foot--annually. Where I am, we usually get about 50.

My snow blower is tuned and ready to go. Haven't started it since I tuned it. I still have 4 cords of dry oak. 2 split and stacked and 2 in 4 footer.
And finally Jeanne and I played golf Friday in 64 degree temps. Great Winter as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, but I miss my X country skiing. Used to look forward to it every winter; beautiful and quiet. Loved every minute of it. Would go down to the Wayside Inn, get a scotch and sit by the fire when I was done. Now, I’m back in NC again with nothing to do all winter but watch sports on TV (and the Pats aren’t even in the playoffs!). By me, it’s been a wasted winter.

There have been some recent winters here, in what was once of the X/C skiing capitals of the world, where there hasn't been enough snowfall for it unless you're fortunate enough to be near a lake that froze solid. You only need a thin coating of snow for i, there.
