People may say and think there isn't a difference in the tools between burn's and the box stores but there definately is.
We are Dewalt all cordless tools. The ones that get bought at the box stores crap out quickly VS the ones bought at burns. Same name on the outside but definately different on the inside.

I agree completely....and I always suspected the big chains of making deals with the big tool companies to make a crappier... cheaper version....just for them.
With Burns you get great service too.
The guy who whines about me spending the companies money by going to Burns.....I don't value his opinion much...and I like to bust his balls......he's not fit to carry my......toolbox.

If the SKU is the same it’s likely the same product, but pretty much every company makes cheaper versions for the big box stores. Swap out brass bushings for nylon etc… Every company has cost engineers who look for ways to shave a penny here or there. I’d never buy a grill from a big box store, they’re often quite inferior.

I'm still using a Craftsman drill and chop saw that date back to the early 90's and my snow blower is about 14 years old. Back in the day we bought everything at Sears, kids clothes, appliances, tools and you break a tool or rake come in and grab a new one.

Most of my tools are corded Makitas I've been getting from Amazon and I put them through the ringer in the carving work and so far, they have performed great.
