So, Sunday the 21st afternoon I had some right side pain that quickly grew into a 4:00 a.m. Emergency Room visit. Surgery on Monday afternoon. Acute Necrotic Appendicitis. Was lucky to be in pre-op when it burst (could feel it). 5 days in recovery at the hospital. Home the last few days. Heading to the Surgeon later today to have stitches removed from 3 sites and to have the drainage tube removed (hopefully).
Several more weeks of recovery, though I feel fine as of this morning.
That is all.
Another test that we shouldn't be surprised at, right? How long before you think you can play competitively again? I have to start hitting some buckets ahead of a fraternity golf get together on the 19th...

I had a nice negotiation with the Surgeon last Tuesday. I can chip and putt now. I can play this Friday (in a cart). Using the treadmill 1/2 to 3/4 miles at a time and can also lift weights while sitting in a chair, so doing that too. Well ahead of the original 4 to 6 week recovery time. Hope to be ready to play the Mass Amateur on July 10th up at Essex CC. Will see how it goes.
