Damn. Bill was a really good guy. Such a loving and proud father to his two daughters. When I was still living in Franklin I met up with him in Foxborough or Walpole to watch his daughter play goalie (she was good!). Like John said, he also really loved hiking with his dogs. He had some nice terrain around him.

I have no idea what his recent health situation was like, but I do know his father’s passing absolutely crushed him. The two of them and their brothers had an annual tradition where they came up to SoCo for 1-2 weeks in the Fall. The last time I saw Bill we were running back and forth chasing fish from Blue Shutters to FPR. He had tears in his eyes the whole time. But he blind casted up a nice albie on a small atom popper and that made him smile. He thanked his Dad after releasing the fish and then sat down for a while.

RIP Bill. You were a cool guy taken way too young. You will certainly be missed. God Bless your family and many friends. Tight lines

Not sure I met him. Possibly with his dad at a Plugfest? But I echo Clammer's comments. A lot of the old guard either not online here or not with us anymore. Another day above the grass, so make it a good one.

Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends..I always enjoyed his posts here. RIP Bill->

All the answers to every question-Striper are out there (www). People know it all and don't need sites like these, people who still lurk here are people like us who weren't born into this social media thing, so when it came along, HoleyChit, loads of information, connections, etc, friendships were made, virtual but then in person....but this younger generation were already born with embedded micro-chips, so this type of site is too "old schoo", they'd rather watch somebody blogging a video, ,...there was a good push of new fishermen about 15-20 yrs ago, I'm not sure fishing is "in" like it was ,...only people with Old Salt in their veins can appreciate the type of content available here. Just look at the main page, most threads are about the lottery or somebody dying or dead, not fishing when the fall run is upon us? think about it..., ....but wrong conversation for this thread, sorry =

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots
