Our fireworks have been cancelled due to a fire on the fireworks barge last night around 0100....

In no way should you conclude that my comment had anything to do with either party or candidate. Just the state of the nation. Which is a far cry from what it was when I was growing up, being raised and influenced by the Greatest Generation that knew something about how to build a nation. |

I remember that happening during the Falmouth display awhile back. One shell detonated prematurely about 3 minutes into the show and the embers lit off the rest of the display while it was on the deck. It was a hell of a show for about 3 minutes. Luckily, only minor injuries as the crew jumped overboard when it happened. |
