Nephew's wedding weekend. Welcome party tonight and family dinner at brother's after. Then 3:30 wedding tomorrow with ceremony taking place in the after deck of brother's 34' converted lobster boat.... They plan on tying it off between docks, stern to the rocky beach where the guests are supposed to stand in their formal attire..... (I am just going to be an interested bystander as I have no idea how they plan to get bridesmaids in dresses onboard and off... nevermind the bride!) I will be bringing my camera!
Fishing in the morning.

At my wedding, mrs nebe and I sailed off and away from our mooring with everyone watching. I carried her down the beach and gently placed her on the stern seat of our dinghy and rowed her out to the boat. It all went flawlessly

They pulled it off! Truly one of the best weddings I have been to. A lot of creativity and planning went into so many aspects of the planning. They have a great group of friends and hearing toasts and the officiant's comments just solidified what two great people they are. My nephew spent almost a year working for me after college and I have always referred to him as America's guest, as everyone was inviting him here and there...
Just added a drone pic. We, the older less mobile folks, were lined up on the pool deck at the bottom of the pic. They used wireless mics and speakers were on beach and pool deck playing music before and after, as well as the vows and speeches. They lucked out on the weather too!
Piemma, I had to laugh at your post above. Note the name of my brother's boat? It is what it probably could have been in the condition he bought it...
