So far, so good... I used a black silver glass for the center(pupil). I then overlayed a canary yellow over that, and then a yellow/orange. This gives me a ball of colored glass the size of an orange, then I get it really hot and pull it into a long rod the width of a pencil and about 15 feet long. This is as far as I've gotten, so now I gotta get out the tile nippers and start 'nippen till the cows come home.
Once I've got a couple hundred nipped, I'll lay them on a steel plate and slide it into my 2000° furnace and let them melt a bit to round off the edges...
I can't promise that they are going to be perfectly round, because of the nippers, but they're gonna look sweet
