Joe , I was running Hunting Bass and walked into the Holy Grail
series of Holes Bars.
to the right and I could smell them even Before I got to the cliff was blue fish.
I looked to the left and all I could see was shadows and tails fining ect.
1st cast put me on a 40 lb bass
there was Atlantic sea herring being pushed up on the shore.
it was non stop full tide with a little lull at sundown and then I would work the bar with a needle and then walk off and work the deep hole.
I got taken down half a spool and the fish came unbuttoned
The sand eels where burrowing under My wider boots and the fish were so aggressive they would chase a needle as I franticly reeled .
I know the that they were boarder line of 34" and didn't want to waste time .lol..
That was a good time for sure.
But this Year I really had to work My ass off for fish and for the most part it was a day time fishery later in the year.
I did have 2 weeks of solitude at a place I fish and had a week off and followed the tide till sun up over a week, with great fishing!
