the way the Lip is designed U would think that they would have to be surface swimmers.With little or no weight they would be excellent swimmers in flat water.The slopped head will help sometimes to keep the plug in the water on the pull of a wave.They made some of the larger models (7400) that weighed 4 oz.My guess would be a trolling plug as the body didn't have the bulk to float the weight.Now to troll that plug U got to have the speed right or my guess would be it get buck nutty an would pop out of the water.That Lure really dosen't make much sesne to me.As mister Flap stated they made just about every variation of this plug U could imagine.Almost like they couldnn't make
all users happy.I don't bother with em When I can make plugs with the Z lips that fit my needs better.they sure where pretty though.
