My fluke secret... I only use this in deeper water when the bite has been consistently bigger fish (ie not many shorts)
My fluke hook of choice is a 2/0 or 3/0 trebble... look at a fluke's mouth when the inhale a bait... when they shut their mouth all three points catch just inside the jaw... I dont miss many fishing this way; In shallow water, lots of shorts I fish a smaller single hook....
Also re: the snell thing' all my eel rigs I snell, the rest I tie... why?
I dont have an f'ing clue... habit I guess.....
