Goosefish is right, a small sleek cat is a fast killler, but a fat tomcat is a heavy hitter... Now heres the funny thing... My gold ribbon meat hunter who brings home the bacon every evening... moles, chipmonks, etc... is declawed in the front. It amazes me that this 2wd cat can do it, but what he does is stun the animals and then bites them.. Usually crunching thier skulls to a pulp.
Missing link, if you do get a cat, dont declaw it. I adopted mine from the rescue league, and its an awful thing to do....
To train a cat not to claw furniture, keep a squirt gun on hand and have a scratchy thingy around... sprinkle catnip on the scratchy thingy and the cats will flock to it...
