canyondiver Registered User iTrader: (0) Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Ocean Beach, New York Posts: 35	I'm a fan of proper spining, however, I'll add that someetimes a fly rod is built with the spine off by 90 deg. This is to compensate for sidearm caster. I uset to build alot of fly rods for a shop on Long Island and I was asked to build them this way. As for spiral wrapping... Definitely a great way to go. Billy showed me one of his and under load that darn thing jumped to the upright position. Very cool indeed. Funny looking? Aaah... Who cares LOL! CD
