Flaptial,

It all depends on the depth you are fishing. A lot of the tubing I do is in very shallow waters of 12 ft or less. In those situations I use an un-weighted tube around 15" in length and about 3/8 to 1/2" outside diameter. The key is trolling very slowley around rocky structure and shoreline at 2MPH or less. This method is so effective you won't believe it. Even though you will catch your share of smaller fish you will also score many keeper size fish. Waht I like best is it is very effective in the middle of the day even with a high sky and gin clear water!!
