Hey BOPEEP - First, welcome to Striped-Bass. I hope that your first post being a shot across the bow isn't indicative of all posts but hope you do end up liking the crew here. Lots of good people. That's just #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& talking there. He's not the most poetic fellah but he does catch fish. Hey - maybe you do to but with your only post here is to bounce on him - how are we to know?

Bill - it might be time to switch back over to your old moniker.

Sounds to me like a Chessapeke Type protecting his interests... (or a fellow Ma$$hole in disguise ) I grew up down there, I remember what it was like to put 90 monster 2-5 pound fish into the boat. What's needed is a plan that protects ALL year classes to a more than sustainable degree. 40 comm bass perday in Mass is too high and every 18inch netted fish in MD is too much too. Oh - yeh - the forage thing, gee, what about that?

as far as learning something, i am not here to debate that. i have no gripe with your ability as others might. i just don't agree with someone in a position such as yours advocating what you have in the above quote.
Lighten up a little Francis - in addition to his awfull attitude, for a few years he was a R&R commercial striped bass fisherman too - now you can really run him over... Seriously Bo_Peep, Bill catches fish and the vast majority in more recent years has gone back, like 99% of them, most of them big females. If you are one of those that advocates only keeping small fish, that's ok but a lot of us go after the big gals and we release the vast majority of them too.
