Maybe, just maybe, he was running a little shy cause you owned a boat, you had/have a knowledge of fishing and maybe you hired him to find out some of his honey holes and favorite baits.

I know I have a BIG PROBLEM with guys I know asking me to charter out to them. I have even had guys come aboard with a hand held GPS and punching numbers into it while we were fishing!

I have also seen postings on the internet where guys openly talk about hireing a guide to get to know some area so then they can go there in their own boats to fish! Is that a right and proper thing to do????

I think any of us who have put their time in to learn an area become defensive when we know some one is looking for a training session. That having been said, anybody looking for a Charter in June? I have just a few select days left?
