Hand sandblaster

I just spent an hour with a little hand sandblasetr I got at Home Cepo. It cost around 18 bucks and I hooked it up to a little portable compressor. I preped 15 feet of bottom with minimal mess. I juse stripped the boat last year and applied 2 coats of the interlux 2000 stuff so I did not want to remove too much. With coarser sand I could of removed more with ease and little mess. 60 more days till the Stripers come!

I really need to do the bottom of my boat to!! How does the sand blasting work?? I have a 30 gal 6hp 150 psi compressor and a 50 # sand blaster. I no it is over kill but I can turn down the psi. I have about 50# of Black Beauty in it.

Sand

I heard of the Black Beauty stuff but I used somed stuff that is for a waterjet machine that I sell in my real job....

Its called Garnet and it was very fine...120 grit. I'm going to try some coarser stuff to see if I can remove all the paint in one area that I beed to do some fiberglass work on.

just remember that if you use black beauty that it's considered hazardous waste...You shouldn't leave it on the ground etc.
