Question rods

It was such a nice day I knew there had to be a yard sale somewhere . So on my ride home from Scituate going through Carver I spotted one picked up 2, 7' 2 piece southbend typhoon spinning rods m/h action 12 -25 lb lure 1/3 oz no use for 5$ .
couldn't go wrong good average rods for blues if they break no loss later link

Link you mean you weren't working on your boat today?? I tore into my lower end changed the oil, replaced the water pump housing impeller, etc and was close to starting it up, then my wife came home and said hey you do realize it is still February right I was kind of at a loss for words so I just mumbled a bit and continued what I was doing. Seriously though when I get in touch with a friend who cod fishes on a regular basis and fills me in on the do's and dont's as well as some Gps coordinates Im goin

If they had posted the Stellwagon lat/long I'm sure their offices would have fallen victim to arson....

The Stellwagon is a great place to fish. It's really bizaare though. You head out there on a nice day in the summer and travel for 25 miles rarely seeing another boat until you get there. Then there's about 50 boats in a 1/2 square mile area.

It's kind of tough to miss it.

Stellwegen was the hot spot last summer if you wanted Dog fish all right!!!thats all I saw out there on the SW corner. Was told the fish weren*t around due to a lack of forage bait for larger fish. Was told the dog fish fishery catch was limited due to over fishing but there seemed to be plenty of them around or we kept catching the same ones over and overand over

Bawana, those dogfish were solid from the bank all the way to boston harbor. One day they were so thick and finning, my buddy was bumping and grinding them as he motored out.

Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.

Cod Inland

The Cod must be inland this time of year. Running way out to Stalwagon this time of year could be dangerous if you have a problem... The water is cold...you'll last about 10 minutes and there is not a lot of help around this time of year!

Fishsmith,
Have you and Jack gone back out since we last went?
I was hoping to trailer my boat down there last weekend but the weather sucked!!!
I'm hoping to try this coming weekend, I heard of where some are being caught! Ron

Ron,
Havent been fishing since I was out with you. Tuesday jack put those poly(yellow) rollers on his trailer and did maintenance to it as well. Then he took me and my boys out for a cruise down to plymouth, neither one puked so that was a good sign for this summer.
This weekend looks cold, but if the seas sit down go for it.

MTC - Minots was dead a few weeks ago, but maybe this storm will bring the fish back in.
