BassAssasin, is that an egg that you made or is it a Habs. I have a couple of the habs eggs and they are unreal. Especially if they are cast at the Ditch.

I wish it was a Habs but it's one I made. I have never seen the Habs Eggs for sale anywhere so I made a copy. It's not a real one but it will have to do. It's a good idea, I bet it works well when there are small menhaden around. I hope this one swims for me
Nice squid CS

No, something much worse. I am at work! I will be posting a couple tonight. Got some homade stuff that a guy made just after WWII when metal and stuff was still in short supply so he scavenged his old Creek Chubs and turned new bodies and recycled the hardware. Very interesting.
Also, on the 11th I will post a tribute to my brother John. He was killed in Vietnam on March 11th, 1969. He used to make poppers for Stripers and Paul Kukonen sold them in his shop in Worcester for John while John was a senior at Burncoat High School. I will show the plugs I have left that he made. They are nothing special to look at but they are my most valuable possesions. I often wonder what he would have been making today if he had come home..............

He sold a hundred or so so they must have been okay. He used birch dowels and screw eyes etc., that he bought from Spags in Shrewsbury MA. He hand painted them and used nail heads and ring binder hole reinforcers for doing the eyes. I f, God forbid , my house ever was burning down they would be the thing I would try to save first and that's the Gods honest truth.

I know what you mean Flaptail....some of my Dads old stuff that I have, most people would think it was junk, but to me I would let anything with great monetary value perish before I would let my Dads stuff go!

Stan Gibbs made two of these for a Offshore fisherman in Ocean City Maryland. They were for hi speed trolling for tuna etc. if you fished the eye end first and could be fished off an outrigger with the hook free of the holder and tied on to the skinny end. This is the only one left that I know of,

Home made Pikies from the late forties. These were made using scavenged Creek Chub parts and turning new bodies, So you guys weren't the first to copy CCBCO.
