Believe it or not, he actually was right(in a smal way). Most of the time, especially when they are blitzing, you could throw your sneaker out there and catch one. But I have experienced several times where even when they are blitzing (pounding bait on the surface and driving the bait onto the beach), they will only take certain plugs. Several times just last year they drove the bait onto the beach. I had a PILE of fish and a bass. Some people couldn't even hook up. I had the right lures and they didn't. After I lost my last one, I had a lot more trouble hoking up with other lures, even though you could have kicked 12 pound blues onto the beach.

Also, it always seems that at night, you put on an eel, cast it out.....chop, chop, chop. Try a lure, nothing. Put on an eel and instantly chop, chop, chop.

Not trying to defend him, he's still a yo-yo.
