The idea maybe was to do something a little different. There are two Mass guys - Manzi and Gags (though Al almost qualifies for CT ), One RI guy, and 2 LI guys. I think its pretty good to have a mix from time to time. Its also a little different fishing than the sands of the Cape and more Rhodyesque with the Montauk guys.

For years the speakers have been local people and I don't think its a bad idea to switch it up for a change. Have a new face like Crazy Alberto in and something on the more extreme side of things will Melnyck. Yeh, I'd be interested to see it but you wont see me "Skishin" - I'd look WAY to much like a seal doing that.

So for one, and no disrespect to the local elite, I think its an interesting change for a year. Last couple years have had Stezko and he's a great draw and a great speaker but this year is a little different. Or they could simply roll out FrankD for ANOTHER year
