Say, not to change the subject, but do either of you young fellas know where an old guy who doesn't talk too much might find an eel run? You know, not too long a walk - I don't get around so good these days, it's an old trout injury - but I wouldn't mind just a coupla eels for when the big girls come around.
Boy, I'll tell ya, those big bass do like a fresh eel - for chrissakes, old man Clarke useta keep a bath-tub full of 'em in his basement all the time. Now there was a guy that knew eels - ahhh, you younger guys today probably wouldn't know him anyway.
But eels? Hell, I knew a fella claimed he kept 'em in his toilet tank so's the missus wouldn't see 'em. They'll live just about anywhere - of course, I wouldn't kiss one for luck if I knew somebody had kept it in the crapper.
So, whaddya say - how about helping an old fella out here...that's a helluva tattoo ya got there......lemme show ya mine, I don't often do this........
