Spend the doe and get #60 monel
put it on in either 100 or 150 foot shots then albright each section together with a 5 foot shot 120lb dacron
I use to Jig in 70 to 90 feet of water off MV and this set up will put You down.
once Your on the bottom what You do is Jig on the dacron not the wire.
I would put the rod in the holder and wear a leather glove and Jig By grabbing the dacron.
In this way there is no need to give the handle a crank as You would do with wire.
