RE:Striped-Bass Fall Extravaganza

Hey John, what about tackle? It's been 15 years since I last saw my surf gear leave in a strangers car, after purchasing same after I switched to the boat. Is this area strickly long rod territory, or will my 7 foot Lami's suffice for a night? Will this spot and time of year dictate plugs or live eels or chunks? I'd be comfortable ch#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g a live eel with my conventional GW841M, as long as I don't need to throw an eel 150 feet or more. Might want to bring along the same blank but spinning, along with a bag of jerkbaits just for yuks.
Either way, unless my Maine trip has to be rescheduled the 13th I think will work and it would be nice to meet some of you guys. I will need some directions, since I've never fished in RI.

Tight lines.
