What school you went bubbah...
The "Bar" is on the right (from where you were standing) and we were out there for three hours first....we had to come in cause if you were looking very closely you wiould have seen that there is a new cut in the middle of the damn thing...we came in when the hole went waist deep considering it was blowing 30 and filling fast...
When you saw us I was way out cause there is a hole...waaaay out there...
there are also 4 other bars (much smaller within 1/2 mile)...
me like to toss a herring or three at one particular spot to the left of there also

Hope folks don't feel this is too much of a segway, but here goes. I'd be happy to share the recipe. By the way this is Mom's.
Fry 5 pieces of bacon; crisp but not burnt.
Drain on a paper towel.
Pour bacon fat through paper towel-on-a-strainer into a large pan.
Add 1 onion and 3 celery stalks chopped.
Saute til partially cooked.
Add 1 cup water 2 cups milk 5 diced potatoes and 1/2 green pepper.
Add 1 bag frozen corn (I added this because I like corn in my chowder, mom said it was ok with her).
Salt, Pepper, Mrs Dash to taste.
Add crumbled bacon.
Simmer, not boil 15 minutes until potatoes are partially cooked.
Cut fish into 1" chunks (works for any whitefish as well as Bluefish).
Blend 2 (more) cups of milk with 1-1/2 tablespoons of flour.
Add to pan along with fish chunks and simmer until fish is cooked.
It does not take long for fish to cook (maybe 10 minutes).
Don't go too long as fish will get mushy, be sure to simmer not boil.
Enjoy with stories of how the bluefish were caught! [/QUOT
Hi Fish On,
I think I will have to try your recipe with striper.
What a shame!
They are in the Sakonnet River and if I can catch them, anybody can.
I thjink I died and went to heaven.
Chowder tonight!!!!
