Rain delay

Waitin for the heavy stuff to pass before I hit the just turned tide.
What's your opinion on rain efectin inshore striper fishing?

My two successes were overcast and misty days.
once an hour after high, next about 30 minutes to dead low.
Both in spots within 100yards of eachother along a saltmarsh.

Should I wait out the downpour or just go out there now?

I'd go now to Falmouth if I didnt have my stepson to keep a short leash on

I bagged it tonight in favor of tomorrow. Better wind and the tides a bit later.

skunk

One of these days I am gonna drown that damn skunk.

Sky opened up with a vengence while I was prepping to leave.
Took a few extra moments while it pizzled out.
We had a good 3 hours or so slinging frozen chunks of mackeral.
I got smart and cut them down before leaving.

I also made a frozen chumpot - chopped up the head and tail mixed in about 1c water and froze in a bag. Through it out into the swirling mini-bay and watched the slick develop.
About 5 minutes later seagul noticed the slick and stole half my melting chumblock. minute later he came back and stole the rest!
