I agree that the original logo is a good idea for the front. I also like the idea of our screen names on the back like baseball shirts do.

Well...
What I'm thinking here is just put the shipping cost on the buyer, and sell the shirts/hats more cheaply w/o shipping at the MSBA meetings, MSBA tourney legs, and so forth. Of course this would require that someone be responsible for sellign them and so on.
And definitely put on a certain margin over cost for fundraising to be put towards the site. I don't think any of us expect any less than that, I'm sure.
JohnR runs a heckuva site, and I've learned so much from this site it's not funny.
Tight lines, all.

I went the cafepress route before and was not happy with the product on the front side and the dealing with them on the back side... Some of it was good and some was lame but I couldn't afford to go out and get several of each to check them out... So there are a few S-B (Cafepress) Collectors items out there
MrsF - what app are you taking sketches into? And how do you tweak them? I've been trying to get a sketch in myself
Guys & Gals - I want a kick ass shirt. It might not seem like it but I went thru a lot of hours trying to find the Game Over shirts at reasonable coin. Going thru the official distributor was going to run mid twenties for a T-shirt using them and that's just TOO much doe for a shirt. The site should be able to make a couple bucks per shirt and still get them to YOU for less than 15 bucks a piece - for quality shirts. When we ran the hats last year - at $22 or so each, the site sold them at cost. It was just too expensive in my opinion. They were GREAT hats but just pricey, and I can't justify charging $25 per hat to make the site $3 on a 10% margin, who works in 20-30 dollar items on a 10 margin?
So I would like a comical / intuitive / catchy image & slogan for a Tshirt design. Don't feel you need to do both, if you have a good (PG-13 or at least 17) catchphrase or a good design - let's see 'em.... Winner of each gets a custom plug of my chosing
Just to be fair - I'm s l o w l y working on a design too and I think my phrase from last year was "Get Whacked" at Striped-Bass.com or something....

John I think the logo at the top of the page is perfect (striped bass with the flag in background).

IWannaShirt - 'nuff said. but I keep posting anyways
I like both designs. I think MsF's is edgy and creative. I think the logo is instantly recognizable. Ms.F - nice work.
I would think that MsF's design is easier to get on a t-shirt, less colors, less shading. I lean toward Ms.F's from a practical point of view.
I am no artist and not real creative - probably one of those left brain, right brain kind of things.
So I am probably not going to submit. But love to voice my opinion .

JohnR first, I sketch it then I scan it and take it into Adobe Illustrator and create it in there...basically trace the sketch I did with the tools in Illustrator

howabout a huge striped bass (from the logo) on the back and "www.striped-bass.com" (yet again from the logo w/ shadow) on the left breast?
this can all be silkscreened.
