Been poundin' the heck out of decent fish around the islands. Make the first Cape journey this weekend. Hope I remember how to beach fish. How I miss the smell of salt and the beach and MUNG.

Going to the Cape myself this weekend, Sat. night. Haven't had as good a year as I was planning so far, but still real early. Unfortunately I have been fishing buddies with the Skunk all but 2 times ( got first keeper last week ), I don't know why but? Went out in my Dad's boat last night ...nothing. Was in Plymouth recently and there was alot of mung already so, might be more around. Good Luck

Told myself this year that I would fish the Canal religiously which I have been. I'm slowly learning to fish smarter by understanding the water flow and how tides, currents and slack affect fishing. Was there sunday, tuesday, this morning and planning on tomorrow morning. Some decent fish to 38" but I want bigger!

My brother and I are picking up our newly purchased (used) 17' Boston Whaler next week. We'll be down in the Chatham area from thursday - sat next week. Looking forward to it as this is a yearly getaway for father's Day weekend.

Things really starting to groove in Gloucester.

Harbor is full of feed which has the macs chasing it and the bigguns' under the macs.
Harbor and surrounding waters loaded with mackerel with large stripers under them. Macs being driven straight outta the water in some spots. Big fish are hungry and eating anything you toss thier way. Had most of my successes chunking herring or using whole dead herring. Mid-day action abound with fish being taken at high noon as well at dark.

Three biggest so far are 39, 38 and today, a 35. (inches, unfortunately)

thigns have slowed down a little bit for me. been catching lots of small fish, caught the smallest striper I've ever seen last night on a crystal minnow. fish had to been all of 8". I wanted to keep it for my fish tank!!

been moving around, I fish the canal a lot and have been fishing some of the beaches after work, with some success. nothing that good yet.

work hard, fish hard and die happy!

Who rule bartertown...
Master blaster rule barter town.
Fished all night Wed and all day Thurs OB, then to bassless Hole, finally paid hi line to go out Thurs afternoon to catch a couple of biscuits.
Least I got some luck there. Was a scup trip, I hooked into something that bent my hook.
Don't know what it was, maybe a striper or big dog.
Later,
Rick
PS-working all weekend, too.

Moses, why don't you part the canel so you can look and see where all the best structure is. That most certaily will lead to bigger fish......right?

Good idea but if I can't land a fish over 38" / 20 lbs, I doubt I can part the canal......
