Talking Micro Blues

Is it just me or does there seem to be an incredible amount of micro blues (7-9") out there this season? They seem to be errupting everywhere along South County beaches. I'm not complaining here because they can be useful for something

I caught a 15# Bass this year that had a blue about 3# in it's belly.
