If IRON MIKE goes he will dry up like RAISIN

Over the Last Several Years HAB'S NEEDLEFISH Have Caught More "Confirmed" 30, 40, 50, and even 60 pound Striped Bass than any other Wooden Needlefish on the Market today. 2 Over 50lbs. and 1 Over 60lbs. in 2005 alone........... "HOOK UP WITH HAB'S" Your Best Bet For BIG BASS.....

WOOOHOOOOO!!! My anniversary is on a weeknight!!!! (sorry honey ) so I'm pretty sure I'm in (I'll only need to do the normal amount of paperwork - no anniversary forms this year )

I do want to add, that in mid June, we will have the first Rhody Leg of the Second Annual S-B 4 leg C&R derby and early July will be the Cape/Mass leg

The First Annual S-B Cutty Tourney sounds pretty good too. C&R? but fish over 30#s still count

Dry Island? That's fine. I don't mix drinking with beach business anyway....

Ok thats it the first weekend in June is it. And only C+R will count do we want one night or two I think one Sat. only would be fare to all as some may not be able to do Fri/Sat. All fish from Sat. at 2pm on will count and last fish would be Sun. at 2pm that would give anyone time to fish the barges on Sun. and still RUN!!!! to the boat dock in time. Now what about prizes I will give up one old plug for first prize winner can pick

Sounds good and smallest fish has to put 50 smackers of gas in your boat

I think the Iron One will probably do okay on Cuttyhunk - that's where he landed his 63# bass.

In fact, the Mystic One, myself and John were discussing that over a beverage just last nite...

GB I;m looking at/most likely getting the Garman 180.
Kind of had my mind made up for me// last November we were coming in from a late season Striper trip at 11 ;45 pm, we caught fish ,but running to port , no moon ,dark night spray, came down a wave and there it was !!! a great big channel marker, hit it dead center in the bow, took some damage but that was minor to what could have been,, we were dressed for the weather, layers and all that bukly stuff and not another boat around, I.Ve relied on the compass and ranges since I sold my last boat w/loran ,but too many times you can.t use them, oh well its part of the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE !!!

I got the Garmin GPSMAP76 this year. It is WAAS ready and has navaids built in. It will also give you sun, moon , and tide data. It is a pretty smart little unit.

All who can make it will get a small cuttyhunk bag from the corner store on cuttyhunk and we will have some hats and mugs to give away for maybe most fish caught and smallest.

Thumbs up

Sweet Hats!

GB - We should talk in the near future (within the next month) and hammer out some of the details. You are doing an incredibly nice thing for everyone here and I want to make sure you don't unnecessarily overextend yourself. Because you are doing so much already to make this happen, I propose that everyone kicks in a small amount so we can bring some food over, have a fish pool which will pay for biggest & smallest , as well as the other things we come up with along the way....

I'm also wondering if it might be adviseable to push back a week or two for everyone to hit the Island at the BEST possible time

And again, I think I can speak for everyone when I say how thankful we are that your putting us up like that - Big Thumbs Up!!

John if it will not get in the way of the RI leg of the S-B C+R derby we can have it any weekend in June. That will give me more time to go out and find all the big ones before the derby.

GB -

On top of an already kind and very generous offer, the hats take the cake.

I've been looking for a new lucky hat - my standby is now 6 or 7 years old - I could see myself wearin' a Cuttyhunk hat til it turns into dust...

John and GB - If you guys need a hand in any way to help things along or organize, let me know, I'd be happy to help. We've got a good crew here and it would be the kind of trip that would be a lot of fun and generate more than a few good stories - no doubt!

I'll DEFINITELY pack a camera for this one...

Just one request...puhleeeease don't make it the weekend of June 29th....

I'm with you, Chris -

A good nite of fishing for me is as likely to be followed by a cold Pepsi as a cold beer - AFTER I've returned home to put away my gear.

As for drinking and fishing... never. It doesn't mix well with navigating rocks and swells in the dark. A friend of mine was formerly an accident investigator for the RI DEM - none of the stories are pretty and most of them involved alcohol.

Not that I've turned into a teetotaler in my old age - but there's a time and a place as far as I'm concerned.

I think everyone here will be focused on the fishing aspect. And everyone I would think expects to help offset expenses and give a hand where needed.

Besides, we've still got some winter to go and the planning will help pass a few more of the snowy nights we have left.

The full moon is on June 10 so the best weekends for Cutty and the SB Rhody Leg would be the weekends before & after the 10th of June ....
