Even if you had a stiff rod you can troll. With the give of the drag,rod and just the give of the yak spinning around from the fish pulling there is little chance of flipping over. trust me i haven't even thought about flipping when trolling eels and hooked into a nice 30in. I still wouldn't worry about fish flipping you that were twice that size.

IM SICK OF FRESH WATER ITS BIG BOY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
